Melbourne-based pop trio Blusher have released a set of edits of their newest single, ‘Rave Angel’. The Alex Chapman & Zhone remix is an especially impressive reimagining, with a relentless four-to-the-floor bass drum persisting beneath wobbly synths and energetic vocal samples. It builds into a ferocious drop that instantly conjures up images of a chaotic dancefloor. “After starting the song yelling about DJ’s who suck, we wanted to work with someone on the opposite end of the spectrum - Zhone and Alex Chapman have made some of our favourite remixes for artists like Kim Petras, Nicki Minaj and Dorian Electra. ‘Rave Angel’ is our hype-up song on the way to the club, and this remix is the song we need to hear at 3am when the night is peaking.” Keep an eye out for more remixes of ‘Rave Angel’, and catch the three-piece live in the UK this summer. -Dan Peeke
